This Council has been involved in irrational judgements and actions resulting in the deaths of loved family dogs, we call on the Government to investigate this Council and the workers in the interests of the protection and safety of all Dogs and their owners. Young dogs Kooda and Bear were put to death as a result of this Council and the BSL Law although neither dogs were proven to be pit bulls and they had never done a thing wrong. Brax as pictured, and Bella, a Husky, both loved family pets escaped their premises, they were microchipped and after frantic calls to the Council, the family were later informed Brax had been shot and killed, it was claimed he was ill at the time, after being killed his body was sent to the tip in the same cage as his companion dog Bella, Brax's family were unable to retrieve his body therefore making the grieving process worse for his family, Bella has since been reunited with her family following her horrifying ordeal. Please help, we need to stop this inhumane treatment of our family pets.
We the concerned people who have signed this petition request that the Moira Shire Council be investigated, the workers at this Council and their actions have resulted in the deaths of Loved family Dogs Kooda, Bear and Brax resulting in heatbreak and stress for all involved, there have been conflicting stories told by Council. Please honor our wishes and Investigate the Council particulary in the circumstances of the deaths of Kooda, Bear, and Brax and any other loved family Dogs that have died as a result of the very questionable actions of this Council.
