Let Maisie sleep upstairs

Maisie is a beloved Norwich terrier. She is kind, affectionate and an integral part of the family. The fact that she is the only member of the family to not be allowed in the upper abode of our household is frankly bordering on abuse. Maisie showers us with love, energy and licks, yet in return we provide her with a cold kitchen floor and no one to cuddle when she beds down for the night. It is clear to anyone with a modicum of decency that she deserves to join the rest of the family in the higher levels of the house.

Please help me raise this issue to parliament so my father will understand the gravity of the situation.
