The mass shooting epidemic has clearly become a national crisis situation. Countless innocent children are leaving for school every morning and not returning in the afternoon to their families, and their families are left to plan a funeral. NO CHILD should be required to get an education and not know they are protected the minute they step on a school bus and into a school building.
There are a number of debatable factors causing this issue, and we can debate all day for decades about what issue needs attention first. However, the reality of the matter is, if we don't respond to this crisis and secure our schools immediately with armed guards, and metal detectors, and school policy reform, while we get our act together to tackles this complex devastating issue, more kids continue to die. We need to come together, as a nation, and decide. Decide it is time to put children first. Decide it is time that we have a common thread with matters like this. While adults raise children that are struggling with these mental health issues, and arguing over what should be banned and not be banned, our children are dying. ARM GUARD OUR SCHOOLS IMMEDIATELY. This is a national crisis and a public health emergency. It is nothing shouts of neglect to not act as a federal government to protect our children.
