Comminity police controll initiative

We are using this petition as a way to educate the community and challenge the status quo of the oakland police department.

The basic focus of this petition is to shift the power of the police department to the community.

This will be done by:

1. Having police live in the community in which they serve.

2. Decentralize the police department by making three different departments to serve specific areas.

3. Having a community review board made up of community members with the power to hire and fire police and make policy decisions.
