Ask Playmobil to stop producing the Dolphin Basin set and replace it with a alternative,the set recreates a scene in a marine park.The lifespan of dolphins is much shorter in captivity ,but even more dolphins die during the hunts to supply the industry .Promoting a captivity situation is giving children the wrong ideas about dolphins,they might be shocked when they realise the truth about the industry.Dolphins belong in the oceans,not in a small tank,let them be free !

Playmobil has created many hours of joy for children since it first came on the market ,but it has come to my attention that the company is producing a Dolphin Basin set.This playset recreates the situation in a marine park,but the truth about captivity is that the lifespan of cetaceans is dramatically shorter when they live in small concrete tanks .Every year dolphins die in captivity,but even more during the hunt in places like Taiji in Japan where they are caught and sold to marine parks.Dolphins who don't make the grade are brutally slaughtered ,the contaminated meat is then sold to people who are unaware of the danger.
In my opinion it would be better to stop producing the Dolphin Basin set and create a alternative ,a whale and dolphin tour boat that could easily go with the existing products in the Playmobil range.Children will still have many hours of fun,but also won't be shocked when they find out the truth about the captivity industry.
