Ban Egyptian Dog Cat Exports

While the world is fighting and signing petitions to stop dog/cats trading to Asian countries (specifically China & Korea) The Egyptian government has given some individuals the legal right to start this business and officially, there is a trade of 2500 cat and 2000 dog to happen within a short period of time.

Whilst there is nothing to do but watch and feel paralyzed, I don't know why I do this to myself but here is what I have gotten from a 20 minute research on religions and history sayings on this topic.
It is too long, but try to give it a shot and understand the chaos.

And before any comments on how we eat buffalo, lamb, goats...etc
Give this 2 minutes and look up how they slaughter dogs and cats in these countries.
And that's if we are only talking about the humane ways to eat animals, however ISLAM has DECLARED THAT IS NOT HALAL TO EAT DOGS, CATS, AND DONKEYS AND SEVERAL MORE.

About eating them:
‎ففي الصحيحين وغيرهما عن أبي ثعلبة الخشني وأبي هريرة وابن عباس رضي الله عنهم أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى عن كل ذي ناب من السباع.
‎وفي رواية ابن عباس في صحيح مسلم وغيره: كل ذي ناب من السباع فأكله حرام.
‎وفي رواية له أيضاً في صحيح مسلم أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى عن كل ذي ناب من السباع وعن كل ذي مخلب من الطير.
‎ويدخل في كل ذي ناب الكلب والهر.

About cruelty in general to animals according to the 3 religions:

‎قال الله تعالى : ( وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلاَ طَائِرٍ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلاَّ أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُم مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِي الكِتَابِ مِن شَيْءٍ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُون ) الأنعام : 38

‎بمعني: جميع الحيوانات، الأرضية والهوائية، من البهائم والوحوش والطيور، كلها أمم أمثالكم خلقناها. كما خلقناكم، ورزقناها كما رزقناكم، ونفذت فيها مشيئتنا وقدرتنا، كما كانت نافذة فيكم.

‎ما فرطنا في الكتاب من شيء أي: ما أهملنا ولا أغفلنا، في اللوح المحفوظ شيئا من الأشياء، بل جميع الأشياء، صغيرها وكبيرها، مثبتة في اللوح المحفوظ، على ما هي عليه، فتقع جميع الحوادث طبق ما جرى به القلم.

‎وقوله: ثم إلى ربهم يحشرون أي: جميع الأمم تحشر وتجمع إلى الله في موقف القيامة، في ذلك الموقف العظيم الهائل، فيجازيهم بعدله وإحسانه، ويمضي عليهم حكمه الذي يحمده عليه الأولون والآخرون، أهل السماء وأهل الأرض

Islam prohibits cruelty to animals.
Fourteen hundred years ago, long before the modern animal rights movement began with the 1975 publication of Peter Singer's book, "Animal Liberation," Islam required kindness to animals and cruelty to them was a sufficient reason for a person to be thrown into the fire of Hell!

There is this very well known story that was always said to us when we were young where Prophet Muhammad, described God's punishment to a woman who was sent to Hell because she kept her cat locked up, neither feeding it nor setting her free to feed itself.

Let this sink in. We are so good into portraying the islamic culture but we have nothing to do with the basics.

In the bible,

Ecclesiastes 3:19-20
Humans and animals have the same destiny. One dies just like the other. All of them have the same breath of life. Humans have no advantage over animals. All of life is pointless. All life goes to the same place. All life comes from the ground, and all of it goes back to the ground.
Exodus 23:5
If you see that your enemy's donkey has fallen because its load is too heavy, do not leave it there. You must help your enemy get the donkey back on its feet.

And according to the jewish law,

• Deuteronomy XII:20‐21
Only a shochet, specially trained religious slaughter man may slaughter an animal (mammal or fowl)
• He has the special training, both religious (Jewish law) and the practical training needed to "do the slaughter" properly
• Requires a certificate of training (Kabalah) that includes a practical test
Shochet must use the Chalef (a special slaughter knife) that:
Must have a straight blade
Must be at least twice the size of the animal's neck Must be extremely sharp
Must be checked after each use
He uses the fingernail to test before and after slaughter to check the knife for any nicks
If the knife fails the test, the previously slaughtered animal(s) must be rejected

On the WAPO (world animal protection organization)'s website:

Roaming dogs may pose a threat to public health by spreading rabies or other diseases, they may cause damage to livestock and wildlife, or they may behave aggressively towards people.

As a result, dogs can become victims of poor treatment, cruelty, and even inhumane culling by governments in a misguided attempt to reduce their numbers. Dragged through the streets, electrocuted, poisoned or gassed – culling is nearly always a horrendous and painful death.

The solutions are there, if the government only take the time to read the simple PDF they have provided on their website or if they take an official positive move & tried to make it all better by getting in contact with them & invest from the millions of pounds that they have which are spent on LITERALLY NOTHING,
Here are some simple examples of objectives of a dog management programme (modified from the OIE)
1. Improve the health and welfare of dog populations.
2. Promote to responsible dog ownership.
3. Reduce the risk of zoonotic disease (by providing them vaccines).
And most importantly:::::
PREVENT TRADING AND TRAFFICKING.
