Whereas American corporations often move their businesses to foreign countries and buy busiensses there in order to reduces expenses to own and manage domestic businesses, thus closing down those businesses and putting its employees out of work,
And whereas the American corporations often operate the foreign companies by having the employees there work little or no pay under unsanitary, dangerous, and inhumane conditions,
We the undersigned therefore request that a law be passed that all American owners of foreign businesses be required to operate said businesses and treat the employees who work in them according to American federal labor laws, and that they be held crinimally and civilly accounable if they fail to do so.
Ladies and Gentleman:
We the undersigned, already appauled by the moving of American corporations to foreign nations to reduce expenses and causing domestic businesses to shut down and its thousands of workers to lose their jobs, are shocked by the sweatshop conditions the employees in said foreign companies have to work in.
Therefore, we request that a federal law be passed that all American-owned businesses be subject to the same federal labor laws that American businesses have to obey, and that any American business owner of said foreign businesses be held accountable by civil and/or criminal law if they fail to do so.
