It has been exposed in the 2013 documentary Blackfish that most of these animals were stolen from the wild since their infancy and have been exploited since infancy, making them work for their food by performing tricks and stunts. These animals are kept in concrete tanks so tiny compared to the vastness of the oceans and seas where they had been stolen from.
Though SeaWorld has stopped the orca shows in the San Diego park, it still continues in its other parks. They have also stopped their orca breeding program just this year, but they still refuse to let the whales go to secured sea pens, reasoning that they will not survive.
Now we've just seen the recent news of their orcas beaching themselves to escape bullying from their fellow stressed animals, emerging with wounds and bites and scratches; and also losing their teeth when they slam their heads on the concrete walls.
It's time to tell SeaWorld that enough is enough and make them realize that no amount of money will ever pay for the freedom and life that they have stolen from these animals.
Tell SeaWorld to release all their orcas to their natural habitats in the sea, where is their real home.
