Let Lamar Johnson sing the National Anthem

Back in 1977 Lamar Johnson, the Mets hitting coach, was a third year player for the Whitesox. A front office executive approached him and asked if he would sing the national anthem before a home game. He checked with his wife, sang the national anthem and ended up hitting two home runs. Lamar describes this as one of the best days in his career. Let's encourage the Mets to let him sing once again during the last homestand. Listen to Lamar describe the experience, vote, share and Let's Go Mets!
