Rhino poachers belong behind bars: 19 October 2012

Over 180 rhinos have already been killed in South Africa in April 2012. Over 430 rhinos were poached in 2011. The action taken by the South African government and our courts is insufficient to protect these majestic animals from extinction. On 19 October 2012, the notorious "Groenewald gang", one of the largest poaching syndicates arrested to date, will have their day in court. It's time for us to set a precedent that we will not tolerate the poaching of our rhinos. They are part of the heritage of our children. Poachers belong behind bars!
