Give 'em a TIP!

As a Starbucks barista inside a licensed store, I find it unfair that even though we do the exact same job as any corporate Starbucks barista, we do not receive the same type of benefits. Our regular customers often comment on our lack of ability to accept tips, and new customers frequently ask us if we can accept tips. Regrettably, we have to decline due to Safeway regulations. If we were allowed to accept tips, our morale as a whole would not only increase, but our customers would be pleased knowing that we are receiving fair compensation for the sometimes challenging job that we love.
