Demand for the State of Michigan to Remove the Math Portion of the MTTC/PRE for Secondary Education

Many students working towards a certification in Secondary Education should not have to pass the mathematics portion of the MTTC/PRE. If this portion is not passed, students are held back from entering certain classes, which may delay the completion of their degree. We believe that since we are focusing on teaching one subject in the near future, we should not be required to pass the mathematics portion.
