Demand Control Over our Air Conditioning

In the Mary Lyndon residence hall, students are only allowed to lower the air conditioning unit to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The reasoning for this was because of "energy efficiency", even though Mary Lyndon is one of the smallest dorms on campus. In all of the High Rise Dormitories (which are larger and have a more dense population), the students are allowed to chose the temperature of their rooms, and can go as low as 60 degrees. As a community, we should fight for the right to chose the temperature at which our rooms can stay. Especially in this heat, 70 degrees can be overbearing. We should be able to set our air condition units to at least 65 degrees.
