Join Our Fight Against A Solar Farm In Cearfoss

The residents of Cearfoss are fighting a proposed 86 acre solar farm being built in the heart of our community. This proposed solar farm would have 42,000 solar panels that would be installed on the plat of land that runs along Greencastle Pike from the Star equestrian center up to Fairview Road and back to Broadfording Church Road. The solar farm will be surrounded by an 8 foot high black vinyl clad chain link fence on all sides. This will not only be an eyesore in the heart of our beautiful village but will affect our property values negatively as well as our quality of life.

We are not against solar power - but we feel that a solar farm does not belong in the heart of agricultural country land that is surrounded by single family homes. It will essentially be built in our backyards. There are many other industrial areas in Washington County that would be better options for a solar farm.

Please help us to send a message to our local government that we not only do not want it but that this is not acceptable by the constituents of Washington County.
