Continue Windward High Schools Exceptional Education!

Windward High School has been an amazing alternative high school since 2004. As of December 2017 the Ferndale School District decided to shut down Windward High School and transfer all of Windward's remaining students to Ferndale High School.

Windward High School is unlike any alternative high school, this is a high school that students choose to go to. Students who have a hard time in large classes, experience high levels of bullying, and don't feel accepted in normal school environments go to Windward and find a family based environment. Windward High School is a small school that is community based. Students at Windward High School learn at their own pace, and have good relationships with teachers.
Students also get to create things within the school as they wish, such as clubs, suggesting extra curricular activities, and every student has an active role in the school.
