My dog will die if she’s taken away

My nans dog is being prosecuted against for allegedly bitting a postman. The postman wants compensation even though he was never off work and was never bitten. If the dog is taken away it will decrease my nans health as well as the dogs because they are best friends they support eachother. The dog Roxy is lovely she’s beautiful and she protects my nan
