Millions of innocent animals are suffering in overcrowded shelters, being euthanized or abused due to human neglect. It’s time for strong federal laws to protect animals, regulate breeding, and hold abusers accountable.

Every day in the United States, thousands of animals are suffering—abandoned, abused, and euthanized—through no fault of their own.

I adopted a puppy from a California shelter who was just hours from being euthanized. She was healthy, loving, and simply a victim of overcrowding. Her story is one of the lucky few. Most do not make it out alive.

Shelters across the country are overwhelmed. Animals are being put down in record numbers. Irresponsible breeding is rampant. People are abandoning pets without consequence. And abusers are walking free—while animals are left to suffer in silence.

We demand urgent federal action. This is not just a shelter problem—it’s a national crisis. It’s time for the U.S. government to step in and lead with compassion.

We are calling for:
• Tough federal laws against animal abuse with mandatory jail time and financial penalties
• A national registry of animal abusers to prevent reoffending
• Strict regulation and licensing of breeders to end the flood of unwanted animals
• Increased funding for public shelters to improve care and reduce euthanasia rates
• A national spay/neuter initiative to prevent overpopulation and suffering


This movement is about humanity. Animals cannot speak, but we can. We must be their voice, their protection, and their justice.
