Provide Gender Neutral Bathrooms In Astoria Schools

Currently Transgender School Kids In Astoria Are Not Being Protected From Bullying And Harassment In The Schools' Bathrooms. Last November Astoria Voters Approved a School Bond Of Over $70,000,000 to Rebuild and Upgrade School Infrastructure For The Express Purposes Of Providing "Safe, Secure and Healthy Campuses" as "A Source Of Community Pride". Resources and opportunity now exist to assure that transgender school kids need no longer fear and dread using the bathroom while attending school functions. Construction of gender neutral bathrooms and locker rooms will give them an alternative option to avoid intimidation, harassment and bullying that they currently fear in the segregated boys and girls rooms currently in existence.
