Demand that BNSF railroad move its switching yard in South Irving TX

PETITION TO MOVE SWITCHING YARD FROM OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AT GRAUWYLER AND N. BRITIAN RD.

The residents of Oak Park Addition and surrounding community neighbors of Irving, Texas demand that due to

-increasing public safety hazards,
-degrading aesthetics,
-health and environmental concerns
(such as excessive noise at all hours of day and night, toxic dieseling),
-unsightly visual pollution of dilapidated graffiti laden cars, standing cars, un-maintained grounds,
-unprotected explosive and hazardous chemical cargo and major increase in traffic),

that BNSF railroad move its switching yard out of this neighborhood so that we may enjoy our property and citizen rights to achieve a high quality of life, live in a safe and beautiful neighborhood with greater opportunity for economic vitality as charged by the City of Irving’s Mission Statement and Model.
