Pair Tied Their Sickly, Starving Dog to a Bathtub, Where He Couldn't Even Lie Down

A couple in the UK had apparently tied their dog up to the bathtub while he slowly starved and suffered from ever-worsening medical conditions.

They have both admitted their mistakes, expressed their regret, and already been sentenced by the UK court system.

What they need now is psychological counseling to ensure this never happens again. Sign the petition!

JJ the dog was a male Doberman who loved his family. But unfortunately, his owners began experiencing intense emotional distress. While they should have rehomed JJ with people who could have cared for him properly, unfortunately they did not.

By the time investigators arrived at the pair's home, they discovered JJ tied to a bathtub, emaciated with ribs and bones protruding, and an obvious eye condition. His eyes had discharge and he couldn't fully see anymore. He did not even appear to have a way to lie down because he would have choked himself if he'd tried. Officials also found that his owners were medically neglectful, by not getting him the medical care he needed.

After authorities rescued JJ, they brought him to veterinarians to try to heal him. But unfortunately by that point, JJ was already far too sick. Veterinarians discovered he also had developed an abdominal disease that was too far along to be treated. And so, poor JJ was humanely euthanized, rather than prolonging his pain and suffering.

Courts in the UK have banned this pair from owning animals for the next 10 years. This is an important step towards protecting other animals. But these individuals also need to address whatever it was that led them to neglecting poor JJ. They need mandatory mental health counseling now! Sign the petition!
