Too often do we see our brothers and sisters in Christ back down from the on-going fight for Christian traditions and morals. And when we do find those still willing to stand up, they seem very few and far between. That's why it's so important that we support these few, so that we can show our nation that, yes, God is still our main focus during these troubled times.

Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown, Pennsylvania is doing just that. In finding high school dance attire to be highly offensive and leading their students away from their Christian roots, they recently posted some guidelines.

"Women's gowns may not be extremely short, have an extremely low cut front or back, have any excessively high-cut slits, have overly revealing midriffs, or be inappropriately revealing, giving the illusion of nudity," the school posted about a week ago.

"Gentlemen must be in formal attire: tuxedo or complete suit coat, dress pants (no shorts), dress shirt, and tie."

The young women are required to send in photos of their dresses before hand, so that the administration can judge whether or not they meet the new dress code. Many parents and their students are angry at this last-minute declaration and have started a petition of their own, stating:

"We as the paying customers of Delone Catholic have been notified about antiquated and unreasonable restrictions imposed on the formal wear for the May 2015 prom. Our children will not undergo scrutiny of prom gowns based on outdated, unrealistic expectations and rules implemented at such short notice."

How is teaching our children morals and respect for the dignity of the human body unreasonable? It's time that our schools and institutions started making a stand against these "updated" standards. That's why I'm asking you to join me in showing your support for the faculty at Delone. PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW. Our goal is 1,000 signatures and I know we can reach it!
