ISSUE A MORATORIUM ON CAMPGROUND FIRES IN SAN MATEO AND SANTA CRUZ COUNTIES UNTIL JANUARY 1, 2015

Whereas there have been 2 (two) wild land fires within the boundary of Big Basin State Park within the last 24 hours,

California is in one of the worst droughts in nearly a century,

Fire danger is critically high, especially in areas such as San Mateo and Santa Cruz Counties,

We are calling for a COMPLETE MORATORIUM on campground fires

until January 1, 2015,
