To establish a law in the United States to end deforestation

With the rise of climate change, it is not helpful to the Earth to be killing the biggest thing that keeps us, humans, to stay alive. Trees are what filter the air around us that we breathe. They filter harmful Carbon Dioxide and Methane gas. Methane gas is actually the cause of climate change because it traps hot air in the Earths atmosphere. If we would let the trees go to grow we would not have this problem. Trees were on the Earth before modern humans and they should stay here after us too. If we leave the Earth in the future because it can't sustain life because of the air, it will seem that we are "taking life and leaving nothing behind". The Earth is way too precious to waste and if we do nothing to stop this then we will kill all of these innocent life forms on Earth.
