Jackson is Tim's longtime dog. Tim was in the process of getting Jackson made his official service dog through his physicians in Taos NM. However, due to extreme circumstances Tim had to return to Houston. And suddenly Jackson vanishes. Tim searches for Jackson only to find him at the Montgomery County Animal Services. However, the reuniting of Tim and Jackson didn't happen. Jackson was set to be adopted out to another family. The shelter wouldn't stop the adoption and Tim lost his dog who he considered a child. Tim has been through many ordeals in the past several months including being abused by a domestic partner, becoming homeless as a result, and having ill parents. Jackson has been at his side through it all. Taking Jackson away from Tim is a tragedy that the Montgomery County Animal Services could have easily prevented when Tim went to see Jackson before he was officially sent to live with a new family.
