Tell Delta Airlines to Stop Shipping Endangered Animal Hunting Trophies

For too long, transporting hunting trophies such as elephant tusks and skins from tigers or lions on various airlines has ben common. Now, to help preserve wildlife, Emirates SkyCargo has joined South African Airlines in prohibiting the carrying or shipping of endangered animal hunting trophies.

Animal activists are urging Delta Airlines to follow suit, asking that the company stop transporting or shipping any endangered animal hunting trophies.

Recently, female big game hunter Rebecca Francis was pictured smiling and lying right next to a dead giraffe, with comedian Ricky Gervais tweeting "What must've happened to you in your life to make you want to kill a beautiful animal & then lie next to it smiling?” Ms. Francis is a wild animal trophy hunter, aiming to hunt and collect the “Big Five” such as the lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino.

It is legal in parts of Africa to hunt those animals, with touring companies offering deals to do so, but flying home with hunting souvenirs will become increasingly difficult if Delta joins other airlines to protect wildlife.

Help us in our efforts to stop the shipment of these animal trophies on Delta Airlines by signing and sharing this petition.

Delta Airlines Administrators -

I urge you to work with the Emirates SkyCargo and South African Airlines to preserve wildlife by banning shipments of wild and endangered animal hunting trophies.
