6 police came 2 the home of my friend Jeff Bletz to serve a warrant against his daughter that doesn't live there. The police came around the side of the house in Mr Bletz yard, the dog was outside and Mr Bletz was in garage. The police pulled his weapon and shot at the dog 2X's missing and once hitting and killing this very sweet family pet, Ace came to the edge of garage and died. The 2 shots that missed the dog were just feet away from the front of the house where Mr Bletz grandson was laying on the couch watching tv. If the bullet would have been just a few ft higher it would have hit his grandson, it was also a few feet away from the propane tank and one of the other officers was heard saying, "he almost shot me" The police then huddled together and started getting their stories straight.. The officer that shot the dog said he felt threatened, thats the really sad part, the dog was shot in his side so could not have been running towards the officer. This officer used excessive force and needs to be punished for thinking he can just pull his weapon whenever he feels like it and just discharge it on a whim. Mr Bletz grandson asked his grand father "why did the police shoot Ace"? He didn't have an answer for him. Ace was a loving member of the Bletz family and his grandson now sits at his graveside to talk to him.
