The Iron Claw Trap is a deadly trap that hunters often use to catch animals. Once the trap closes, an animal cannot escape and often suffers for days before passing on until the trappers return to check the traps. This is such a cruel, inhumane method of catching an animal for whatever reason. These traps have killed millions of coyotes, wolves, raccoons, beavers, opossums, otters and so many more. Even unintended animals end up in the traps and lose their lives. What is even worse is when a female is trapped and eventually dies, leaving her young to fend for themselves.
Once the animal is caught in trap, it will struggle to get free, often mutilating the leg, paw or other body part. This struggle can go on for hours or days until the animal loses its battle. Often times, even other species like birds, dogs, cats and other endangered animals become victim to these torturous traps. Some states have had a ban on the use of these traps for many years but we are attempting to get a nationwide ban in the USA & Canada on the use of the iron claw traps.
You can help us in our efforts to encourage a complete ban on these traps by signing and sharing this petition. We need to be a voice for these victims and stop the cruel act of using the Iron Claw Animal Traps that causes undue torture and pain to the animal it captures.
U. S. Legislature & the Senate and House of Commons of Canada – We strongly urge you to implement and enforce strict, stringent laws against the use of the Iron Claw Animal Traps. These traps are an inhumane and cruel tool in hunting and capturing animals, often times falling victim to domestic animals, birds and other endangered animals. There is nothing good about these traps and causes undue torture to the victim as it attempts to get free, becoming mutilated, prey and often times leaving behind their young. Ban this cruel method of “hunting” and ensure a law bans this practice of using the Iron Claw Animal Traps. Be sure the law is then fully enforced and stop this brutality.
