An airport expansion will displace residents, businesses and animals in it's path. Larger jets and increased activity will increase noise and air pollution in our neighborhoods.
Residents in the vicinity have experienced the anguish of plane crashes and accidents. By expanding the runway closer to residential areas, playgrounds, parks, churches and schools will increase the risk of injury to our residents and property.
Let's face it, jets are loud. They disrupt our conversations and sleep.
All of these reasons depreciate the value of our homes and neighborhood. Chicago Executive Airport is an integral part of our community. This petition is saying NO to the proposed expansion not to the airport itself.

Hi All, we appreciate your continuing support against airport expansion. Here's an update of activities
We have met with the Daily Herald and SunTimes newspapers.
We have met with Senator Kirk's senior aid in Washington. She in charge of transportation. We are working on the Website which we hope to have up and operating in the next 30 days. Our name is C.A.R.E. citizens against runway expansion.

Wheeling Neighbors met last night to discuss passing out more flyers and getting the word out for residents to attend the meeting on Wednesday June 18. We only have five minutes to speak but having residents show up will boost the power of those 5 minutes.
