Paedophiles have always moved around precariously which allows them the sexually assault children. The rate in which it occurs is because of a historical and current culture. Family secrets, stigma, shame and protection of the perpetrator are all valid reasons in which keeps this crime so underground.
My website, Cactus Pash (child abuse awareness) is urging every single person who is or was sexually abused as a child/minor to sign their name. Remaining silent only acts as a weapon for Paedophiles and we need to highlight the severity of this crime. By using a social media platform we can collectively add our names and compile the number of people sexually abused as Children. Only then can we truly deal with the enormity of this crime. Not everyone discloses to a mandatory reporter (Police, Doctor, Counsellor etc) if at all, so statistics are not factual. The real statistics need a new life and Cactus Pash can provide an informal and non threatening avenue to signing your name. If every person who was sexually abused as a child in Australia signed their name we would have hundreds of thousands if not millions of signatures which would give enormous leverage to pressure Government and policy makers and rapidly decrease the criminal movements of Paedophiles.
