PROCLAIM APRIL 30th AS NATIONAL MAH JONGG DAY

We the undersigned are petitioning to have April 30th proclaimed (celebration proclamation, not political) as NATIONAL MAH JONGG DAY.

We have September 3 is National Welsh Rarebit Day and October 9th is National Desert Day.  We feel that the social and mental impact of playing MAH JONGG (a Chinese Tile Game) has more impact on society than even the May 24th National Escargot Day.  Players of all ages enjoy Tournaments, Leagues, Clubs and the long lasting friendships that are formed by playing MAH JONGG.  Senior Centers in particular are seeing a HUGE SURGE in the number of players.  Where The Winds Blow (www.WhereTheWindsBlow.com) specializes in Custom Mah Jongg sets and accessories.  We have seen a huge resurgence in this activity and formally request you PROCLAIM APRIL 30th of EACH YEAR NATIONAL MAH JONGG DAY.
