Demand longer paid time off for new moms!

I’m a new mom of a infant who was born a month early, even with giving birth to a preemie I was still expected to return to work 6 weeks later. I requested an additional 4 weeks of bonding time but of course that was unpaid. A infant under 6months-1 year is just to young to have to be separated from his or her mother. Mentally, emotionally, and physically a mother is not fully recovered by 6 weeks 12 weeks if you receive C-Section. The United States is the only country who only allows 6-12weeks of maturity leave, other countries offer 6 months to 2 years! We as new mothers deserve more than 6 weeks home with our new babies and shouldn’t have to stress not having a job to return to because u choose the safety and we’ll being of your child
