On January 7 2014 Zhing-Zhing the panda was removed from his pen at the Shanghai Zoo after attempting to mate with another male panda. Since the incident, Zhing-Zhing has been segregated from the other male Pandas and is scheduled to be chemically castrated by zoo staff on April 17th.
