Stop Nashville Predators from Killing Catfish

The Nashville Predators NHL hockey team has a tradition of throwing catfish onto the ice before their hockey games. The catfish are many times even still alive after being thrown down towards the ice. The catfish are sometimes also embellished using pins and/or needles and are displayed in many other grotesque manners including pouring beer over the fish.
It is already illegal for fans to bring the catfish into the arena, but fans still continue to do so without any punishment. Not only are the catfish brought into the arena illegally, but the television broadcasters continue to show many of these barbaric displays as the television announcers laugh. Clearly, this revolting behaviour is being justified as fans are permitted to bring catfish into the arena and the television announcers find humour in this torture.
Although catfish and many other aquatic and marine animals are not considered conscience animals, they are still capable of enduring a high degree of pain. If a dog or cat were treated in this manner then there would be a profound amount of consequences and outrage in the viewers. There is no excuse for those abusing catfish to be reprimanded in any other way than if they were subjecting this abuse to a dog or cat.
Please sign this petition not only to show your support for the respect animal life deserves, but also to display that not all hockey fans are this cruel. Please help in showing the NHL that this is not the kind of behaviour their viewers and supporters consider as entertainment.
