URGENT: Don't Let a Climate Denier Lead the EPA - Stop Scott Pruitt

UPDATE: President Trump has selected Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt as his EPA Administrator, and the full Senate is likely to vote on his confirmation Friday morning. Mr. Pruitt has claimed that the science isn't settled over global warming, and has lead the legal challenge to President Obama's landmark Clean Power Plan to limit greenhouse gas pollution from power plants.

President Trump is a climate denier, who has called human caused climate change "bulls%&t" and a "hoax" perpetrated by the Chinese. Even worse, the President has pledged to pull the U.S. out of the Paris climate agreement to limit global warming to 2° C.

Even businesses are pushing back on President Trump's clear signals. 365 companies including Intel, Kellogg, Starbucks and Nike, have sent a letter to U.S. leaders urging them to remain committed to the Paris Accords and creating a low-carbon economy.

We must all work together to hold the line on efforts to address global warming. Our future can not risk four years of dirty energy and international inaction.

The EPA Administrator is a position which must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. So we need the Senate to lead.

Please sign my petition asking your Senator to do everything they can to block an EPA administrator such as Pruitt who does not believe in climate change or does not agree it must be urgently addressed.
