Allen Mills subdivision is currently being considered for realignment sending our kids from cox mill elementary school to Odell elementary school. Allen Mills is 0.25miles from Cox Mill elementary and is currently the closest neighborhood to the school. Realigning Allen Mills away from a school that is walking distance to a school miles away is a safety issue for our children. There is heavy traffic in the mornings and afternoons on poplar tent rd and our children's busses will have to go through that traffic to get to and from school everyday. Bussing our children to Odell will be an additional cost for the county having to add extra bus routes and drivers and also the cost of gas. It does not make since to realign a neighborhood less than a mile from cox mill elementary to another school miles away.
