Bring Back the Film, The Great American Ramblin' Raft Race, for a possible Fund Raiser
For many years, Atlanta WQXI Radio and Georgia Tech hosted the Great American Raft Race on the Chattahoochee River. So many of us would like to see the film again. It played in three Atlanta theaters in 1972 for one week only. We have located the film, safely in the Storer Broadcasting vault. If this project is approved by the family, we would like to see the film brought back to the Fox Theater in Atlanta and all proceeds (after expenses) given to the charity of Mrs. Storer's choice. Thanks for signing our petition! The reason for this is to get enough signers to show how many thousands of people would love to see the 1972 film The Great Raft Race. We have had over 760 likes and 138 shares on the post in 2 days!
