A conservationist group supporting safari hunting?

A conservationist group supporting safari hunting? The Southeast Wildlife Exposition claims to promote the conservation wildlife. However, it supports a "Sporting Village" that promotes big game and safari hunting. Please tell the SEWE and sponsors that the "Sporting Village" should be removed from the festivities or included elsewhere. After all, actions speak louder than words.

The Southeast Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) is well known for contributing greatly to the local economy.  It also claims to "[promote] the conservation and preservation of nature and wildlife through its educational outreach programs and its focus on the visual arts" which is highly appreciative. However, I find that such advertising is misleading and even hypocritical when one attends the festivities in Marion Square.  There, one will find "a sporting village with hands-on displays of products and services of interest to the sporting crowd," according to The Best Read Guide: Charleston (http://www.bestreadguide.com/charleston/images/010303/att_wildexpo.shtml) The use of a Sporting Village that exhibits remains, aka trophies or "products," of animals, both local and exotic, is offensive to the conservationists and preservationists that you are trying to attract.

I would greatly appreciate either the removal of, the limiting of, or more up-front advertising of the Sporting Village.

Thank you
