Save Solar in Nevada

By the end of the year, the Nevada Public Utilities Commission (PUC) must adopt long-term rules for rooftop solar in Nevada. Nevadans are demanding rules that continue to give them the freedom to choose clean energy, take control of their electricity bills, and allow Nevada’s solar economy to continue to grow and create new jobs.

The monopoly utility NV Energy proposed rules that effectively eliminate energy choice for Nevadans. The PUC’s choice is simple: They can support more affordable, cleaner and abundant energy choices, or they can support the narrow interests of NV Energy, a monopoly energy company wanting to eliminate healthy competition.
