Three Animal Abusers need longest jail sentencing available

Animal Abuse:45 dogs seized from dog fighting. They would fight to the death and then be thrown into the woods. Carcasses, mixed with trash, lay all around these animals.
Kimberly Deyon, Johnny Beavers, and Hubert Carter were arrested and charged with cruelty to animals. The animals at that location were in "deplorable" condition. He said the animals appeared to have injuries from bites, lacked adequate shelter, and looked skinny and malnourished. Many of the dogs here have had their ears cut off possibly with razors. The SPCA says that's a sign they were used for fighting. They would fight to the death and then be thrown into the woods. Carcasses, mixed with trash, lay all around these animals, a sight that sickened several of the people fighting to save these dogs.

Animal cruelty is a class A misdemeanor, Taylor said. According to information from the SPCA of Texas, House Bill 653, which was signed into law in June 2001, classifies certain acts of animal cruelty, such as causing animals to fight, as a felony.

We petition that these three people receive the longest jail sentencing possible and that they pay for the
rehabilitating charges incurred for
all of the dogs. We also ask that they
never be permitted to own animals.
