Ban Fracking Now

Fracking is a process of releasing natural gas by injecting millions of gallons of water, chemicals and sand into shale rock formations to break them open. This process contaminates local water supplies, and the effects on human health and the environment could be devastating.

Only 30-50% of the chemicals used in franking are recovered after the job is done. The rest are left in the ground -- non-biodegradable chemicals left to leach into our groundwater.

There are even reported incidents of people who live near franking sites being able to ignite gas that comes out of their water taps!

So basically, it causes water pollution, combustible faucets and earthquakes. Which is probably why doctors, scientists and voters are all calling for a ban on fracking. So what's Congress' problem? Tell Congress to stop listening to the frackers and ban hydraulic fracturing NOW.
