Demand that unsafe cladding is replaced.

It's been almost a year since the Grenfell Tower fire, but only seven social housing buildings have had their unsafe cladding completely replaced.

There are another 151 social housing tower blocks with similar cladding – 54 of these haven't started works at all.

The government has not given clear guidance on which cladding is safe, or when repair works should be completed.

It has also failed to keep a promise to help local councils pay for remedial works if they need it. (Campaign success! 16/05/18: Theresa May announces the government will fully fund the removal and replacement of dangerous cladding.)

Cash-strapped councils are struggling because of their already overstretched budgets.

The government needs to step up. Please sign our petition right now calling for:

  1. emergency funding to be provided for social landlords struggling to afford to replace cladding
  2. clearer guidance on which cladding is and isn't safe
  3. a deadline for the repair works to be completed by

The government's lack of guidance has caused confusion and uncertainty, only worsening delays.

Please join us to say this isn't good enough – far from it.

The government must offer a clear plan for fixing this crisis before the anniversary of Grenfell in June.
