Give Victims of Childhood Cancer and Leukemia Hope this Holiday Season

Last December, blood tests revealed that 7-year-old Braden (pictured here) suffered from a "pre-leukemia" that unfortunately progressed to acute myeloid leukemia, a deadlier disease. A bone marrow transplant was required, but the family's insurance company refused to pay. The local doctor advised the family to seek treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

St. Jude is one of the world's premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family's inability to pay. Children from all 50 states and from around the world have come through the doors of St. Jude for treatment.

As the 2009 holiday season approaches, pledge to give the greatest gift of all - hope for children like Braden with cancer and other deadly diseases! Pledge to participate in the sixth annual Thanks and Giving® campaign and to share this pledge with others to "Give thanks for the healthy kids in your life, and give to those who are not."
Pledge to bring hope to St. Jude kids this holiday season by signing today!
