I believe this action important because there is a strong apathy coming from our state representatives when it comes to citizens' cries for changing laws governing justice and/or protection to our family members, our pets!
I became a naturalized citizen of the U.S.A. because I believed in its kindness, generosity and just laws. Laws that not only protected me and my family, but also my pets. I was naive in that department! Unfortunately, there is more and more depravity towards animals in our country. Miscreants who get away with, yes, murder! They leave courts grinning after the judges' reprimands, planning their next criminal acts. Even our own "protectors", police officers get away with shooting our pets. Yet, our Representatives bombard us with e-mails and postal pleads for our votes and endorsements, with a myriad of promises and reasons why we should! Why should we? Until we are fully represented, until our soldiers in Afghanistan return with their canine friends and protectors, until we, citizens of this country can believe we have solid representation and feel free that our rights are defended, why should we vote for you? And...Why You... should sign!
