Today I am reaching out to you as a constituent on behalf of the Coalition for Medicare Choices and the 27 million seniors and people with disabilities who depend on Medicare Advantage and affordable prescription drug coverage. I strongly oppose any actions that increase my premiums and threaten my coverage. That includes changes to my Medicare Part D coverage that would increase my drug coverage premiums.
Unlike original Medicare, Medicare Advantage caps out-of-pocket costs and allows seniors like me to get prescription drug coverage and wellness care without worrying about juggling additional coverage plans. With these additional benefits, Medicare Advantage can detect and treat disease better, helping Americans like me lead healthier lives.
However, Congressional leaders announced a deal on prescription drug coverage that will raise my MA premiums. I should pay less, not more, for my premiums.
