Sea turtle populations are in freefall. The Pacific leatherback is destined for extinction. Others will follow suit if something isn’t done about this soon. A major contributor to the problem is turtle hunting, which is practiced in more than 40 countries and accounts for more than 100,000 deaths annually.
The methods of killing can be barbaric, and the hunting places increased pressure on species that are already listed as endangered or critically endangered.
Take action today and pressure elected officials and the fishing industry to enact legislation that will prohibit sea turtle hunting!
