Iran should desist from becoming yet another country contributing nuclear waste. They have plenty of natural resources to take a leading role in clean and renewable energies instead!1) Deserts - i.e. sand, i.e. silicon for solar cells2) Long periods of sunshine 3) Large, uninhabited areas that could be used for solar power plants.
Dear Mr. Zarif, energy is a decisive factor in the development potential of any country. Therefore, Iran's desire for research on nuclear power is understandable and well-founded.This is especially true, since Iran's resources for generating electric energy are limited, and leave great potential for development and progress. Therefore, the current talks about whether or not Iran should desist from the use and development of nuclear technology are somewhat vital to Iran. But as you are certainly aware, nuclear technology is not as "clean" an energy as appears at first sight. Besides the very high demands for making the technology safe, this technology also produces waste, which can only be deposited, but not destroyed. So, since Iran's prime interest is energy, why not use the resources you have plenty of - silicon, sun and space?"Harvest" your deserts, to produce clean, renewable and future-safe energy. The future must not be nuclear - start the future now!Dear Mr. Zarif, please use the chance, which this time is offering. The western countries will certainly move away from nuclear energy in several years time. Help your country take a leading and exemplary role in energy policy.Yours respectfully,
