As you know, livestock are often given antibiotics to keep them healthy in crowded and unsanitary living conditions, and also to promote growth.
This holiday season, you can help Joe the Pig -- and pigs, cows and poultry everywhere -- to kick their drug habit: make it Trader Joe's policy to end the sale of meat raised on antibiotics. These life-saving drugs must be preserved for when people need them, not overused on the farm.
