Authorities received a call about a domestic incident in Florida, and when they arrived, they found something gruesome and unexpected:
A tree in the backyard where someone had
strung up two dogs and left them hanging there, dead.
Sign the petition to demand justice.When authorities first arrived at the home in question, whoever was inside the home refused to answer the door. That's when they heard noises around back and discovered a man standing there, as well as the two dangling animal corpses.
The man then told officials that, yes, he owned both dogs, but that they had probably done this to themselves. He
claimed that the animals had somehow "tied themselves up," as if they'd simply tangled themselves in their leashes while on a walk.
Yet the animals were covered in multiple types of restraints. Detectives noted that the two pets "were found suspended by their necks from a tree, bound with various ropes and chains" and further specified that this was "with coaxial cable, paracord, tie-down straps, and chains."
On top of that, an investigation revealed that just a few weeks earlier, the man had tried to have his pets euthanized.
Authorities have since arrested the man and charged him with animal cruelty.
