Rename San Antonio Mission County Park lands: On 13 March 1720 – The Marques de Aguayo acknowledged the foundation of the Mission of San José in San Antonio, Texas from Monclova. (P. 115; With the Makers of San Antonio.).

Damasio de la Cruz is a descendant of the original founders of Mission San José in 1720 and he has never been an insurrectionist.

On 13 November 1818 - Mission Census Report notes Don Damasio de la Cruz, as Indian Governor of San José de Aguayo Mission in San Antonio, Texas.

In 1823, Damasio de la Cruz was granted formal title to the property now known as Mission County Park in San Antonio. We are asking that Mission County Park in San Antonio be renamed to Damasio de la Cruz County Park in honor of the Indians who founded Mission San José.
