Unite for Health

Seventy-five years ago, the UN was created so the world could work together to be a safer, fairer, healthier place for all. We've seen huge progress, but not for everyone. Now COVID-19 is highlighting how health systems around the world are underprepared and unequal. It is taking the biggest toll on people already marginalized, and reversing decades of progress on health and well-being.

  • 90% of countries say essential health systems are disrupted due to COVID-19, especially among developing economies.
  • More than 70 million people could fall back into poverty as a result of the pandemic — the first rise in 20 years.
  • Up to 80 million children are at risk of preventable diseases like measles, diphtheria, and polio because vital immunization programs have been suspended.
  • Reduced access to contraceptives during a six-month lockdown could lead to up to 7 million unintended pregnancies.

We need you to sign our petition to #UniteforHealth so we can all recover better.

By working together across countries, communities, and sectors, we can defeat new challenges, protect progress already made, and strengthen global health systems so they reach everyone everywhere fairly.

Please, join us today as we #UniteforHealth.
